the "Red Sea RIB Rally" from September 1st - 10th, 2006. RIB
or Rigid Inflatable Boats have come to be recognized in the world of water
sports as the long distance endurance racing vehicle and have secured their
standing in Powerboat racing.
Echinops Ltd. is a specialized company in the field of promoting, organizing,
managing and directing international events in extreme sports and
entertainment. In association with Aphrodite Marine, Flash Tour and under the
patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, Union Internationale
Motonautique, UIM, and the Royal Yachting Association, RYA, Echinops Ltd. is
organizing this major event which attracts world class competitors as well as
spectators that include royalty, celebrities, business people, adventurers and
trend-setters. |

 The Rigid Inflatable Boats Rally, RIB Rally, started
around 15 years ago in the United Kingdom by a group of enthusiasts competing
in long distance endurance racing and using RIBS of all different sizes and
types. The "Echinops Red Sea RIB Rally" is the first internationally
recognized Offshore Rigid Inflatable Powerboats rally in Egypt. The rally is
given recognition on the International Calendar of the Union Internationale
Motonautique, UIM. |

The Rally will put Egypt in the 52nd rank of
Countries participating and adopting extreme sports. Moreover, it will promote
Egypt as a major tourist and investment destination and will introduce the
sport into Egypt and promote it throughout the country. Besides, this rally
will be an excellent opportunity to create an Egyptian National Team that can
take part in races around the world. |
