The Red Sea RIB Rally was held for the first time in Egypt in Sharm El-Sheikh from September 1st - 10th, 2006. It is scheduled to be held again on the the 28th of October 2007. This Rally promises to be a real adventure and with teams from all over Europe, North Africa and the Gulf taking part.

During the first rally, the first leg was planned to take the competitors across the Red Sea to El Gouna near Hurghada a distance of some 150 nautical miles. The second day of the rally was fascinating with the teams covering a distance of over 230 nautical miles as they run down the Red Sea towards the Indian Ocean, a lay day will follow near Port Ghaleb with crews resting and enjoying the local sights or perhaps diving in the fabulous Red Sea. The third day was the toughest yet as the teams head north to Soma Bay against the prevailing wind and sea conditions, on arrival however the comforts of a five star luxury hotel awaited them and a further lay day followed before the final return leg of the rally back to Sharm El-Sheikh.
